Dr. Lawrence Scharg graduated from Michigan State School of Veterinary Medicine in 1978. He is the owner of Pleasanton Veterinary Hospital and has been practicing in Pleasanton since 1984. Lawrence shares his home with Lulu, a chocolate Standard Poodle born in February, 2004. On his days off Dr. Scharg can be found sailing on the S.F. Bay. He also enjoys biking, hiking and cooking. |
| Dr. Summer Godfrey completed her undergraduate studies at St. Mary’s College in Moraga. She then attended UC Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine, and graduated in 2005 with a concentration in equine and small animal mixed practice. She worked the next 5 years in the Palm Springs area working primarily with dogs, cats, and polo horses. She currently specializes in the primary care of dogs and cats, and also enjoys treating pocket pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and rats, as well as reptiles such as snakes and bearded dragons. |
She has a strong interest in internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, and dermatology. She graduated from the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese medicine in 2008, and supplements her Western medicine with acupuncture, whole food therapy and herbs when appropriate.
Dr. Godfrey grew up in Northern California on 5 acres surrounded every day by horses, dogs, cats, and many other critters. She now lives in Pleasanton with her trio of mutts Sprocket, Woogie, and Pootie, and her fiance, Steve. Their personal lives are centered on family, and they enjoy doing anything around the water such as boating, kayaking, and camping.

Dr. Elizabeth Sufit graduated from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. She has been practicing at Pleasanton Veterinary Hospital since 1995. Liz shares her home with her husband Howard and their children Hannah and Sam and her Spaniel-Border Collie cross named Lewis. In her free time Liz enjoys gardening, crafts, reading and hiking. |

Dr. Ashley Atkin was born and raised in San Francisco. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from UC Davis and received her DVM from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. She has contributed her time to benefit numerous humanitarian organizations such as Rural Area Veterinary Services, Mercer Vet Clinic for the homeless, and Fix Our Ferals. In addition, Dr. Atkin was the Vice President of her graduating class at UC Davis Veterinary Medical School. She has organized and run multiple fund raising events for charitable organizations. |
Dr. Atkin completed her internship at PetCare Veterniary Hospital, a 29 doctor, 24 hour emergency, specialty, and wellness hospital in Santa Rosa. Dr. Atkin's expertise includes internal medicine, oncology, and emergency medicine. Dr. Atkin presently shares her home with her dog (Harley) and cat (Bongo). In her free time she enjoys skiing, hiking, wine tasting, and traveling.
