Dr. Summer Godfrey completed her undergraduate studies at St. Mary’s College in Moraga. She then attended UC Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine, and graduated in 2005 with a concentration in equine and small animal mixed practice. She worked the next 5 years in the Palm Springs area working primarily with dogs, cats, and polo horses. She currently specializes in the primary care of dogs and cats, and also enjoys treating pocket pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and rats, as well as reptiles such as snakes and bearded dragons.

She has a strong interest in internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, and dermatology. She graduated from the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese medicine in 2008, and supplements her Western medicine with acupuncture, whole food therapy and herbs when appropriate.

Dr. Godfrey grew up in Northern California on 5 acres surrounded every day by horses, dogs, cats, and many other critters. She now lives in Pleasanton with her trio of mutts Sprocket, Woogie, and Pootie, and her fiance, Steve. Their personal lives are centered on family, and they enjoy doing anything around the water such as boating, kayaking, and camping.
