Have you ever wondered who helps the doctor to take care of your pet? Alongside our veterinarians we have a healthcare team comprised of an Office Manager, Registered Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and Health Care Representatives.

Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) are skilled professionals who complete a prescribed education and training program and pass a certification examination. Our RVTs, Laurie and Kathryn, are extremely dedicated, skilled, and compassionate individuals with years of experience. They are educated in the latest medical advances and skilled at working alongside veterinarians to give your pets the best medical care possible. They attained their RVT certification through the California Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA), the largest in the nation (http://www.cvma.net/doc.asp?id=1292), and are required to complete annual continuing education requirements. There is no doubt that your pet directly benefits from their contact and care.

There are strict legal guidelines for what procedures an RVT can perform independently, under the direct supervision of a veterinarian, or under the indirect supervision of a veterinarian. Here are just a few of the tasks that Laurie and Kathryn perform every day:
